Sacchi: ‘The reason behind AC Milan’s success’

Legendary AC Milan former coach, Arrigo Sacchi, present at the first day of the “Coach Experience” event at the Rimini Fair, recalled the winning times on the Rossoneri bench and the secret behind the most glorious era of AC Milan’s history:

“When I was coaching Milan, we were better then other teams, even foreign, because in addition to having great players we valued the quality of the game to get to victory. Enthusiasm, generosity and passion are the ingredients to have a wider vision of one’s role. Football is made of philosophy, rather than fixed systems: it is played with the mind rather than feet“.

During his 4 years at San Siro (1987-1991) Arrigo Sacchi guided the Red and Blacks to one Serie A trophy and two back-to-back Champions League titles creating a squad that would dominate Italy for even in the next decade with Fabio Capello.
