Report: AC Milan close signing of Brazilian winger

Coach Gennaro Gattuso has demanded 3-4 new signings to complete his team and AC Milan are already at work to please the manager.

Mirabelli wants to eliminate the lack of alternatives on the offensive front of AC Milan. One of the names in the sights of the Rossoneri sporting director is that of Bernard Anicio Caldeira Duarte, known simply as Bernard. The 25 year old Brazilian has been playing for Shakthar Donetsk since the summer of 2013, when he arrived for 25 million euros from Atletico Mineiro.

Now Bernard has a contract expiring in June 2018 and can leave for free. He represents a tasty opportunity for many clubs. However several sources write today that the player already has reached an agreement with the Rossoneri. FutbalArena reveals that the parties have already signed a preliminary contract. No denial has come from the club regarding the issue.

A signing like Bernard would be very convenient for coach Gattuso. He is still a young player (born in 1992) and able to interpret multiple roles. He prefers to act mainly as a left winger but can easily play on the right, as second striker or attacking midfielder. The Brazilian is a very technical player, fast and a good dribbler. With Shakhtar Donetsk he has scored 28 goals and 35 assists in 157 appearances. Even Inter and Besiktas were interested in his services but AC Milan managed to be quicker in securing his signature. Now we await official confirmation.
