AC Milan trying to sign Barcelona star in January

Besides Todibo, Paolo Maldini exploited Barcelona’s match with Inter to inquiry on the availability of Ousmane Dembele in January.

This week Inter hosted Barcelona at the San Siro. The Blaugrana knocked the Nerazzurri out of the Champions League despite playing with their B side. Barca’s visit to Italy was also exploited by AC Milan technical director Paolo Maldini to discuss the situation of a couple of players that may leave in January.

Jean-Clair Todibo was author of a standout performance at the San Siro against Inter. His defensive abilities impressed Paolo Maldini who is eager to do business in Spain after successful operation of Theo Hernandez. Without a doubt AC Milan’s best summer signing.

Todibo joined Barcelona one year ago and it seems difficult they would accept to sell one of their most prized youngsters after just one year. But there is one player that may leave Barcelona in January, either on loan or on a definitive transfer, and that player is Ousmane Dembele.

After a fantastic season in Germany with Borussia Dortmund, Dembele moved to Barcelona for a record breaking fee of €145 million. The 22-year-old has failed to replicate the same form in his two years in Spain and is reportedly open to a January move.

According to reports from Italy, AC Milan are interested in signing Dembele on loan for the remaining of the season. The Rossoneri are in search of options in attack after a lackluster season so far. Ousmane Dembele is currently injured and is expected to return in action in late January.
