AC Milan receive bid for defender

AC Milan defender Mateo Musacchio is expected to return in Spain. Valencia have made a bid for the 29-year-old centre back.

With Serie A expected to resume in June, Italian clubs have already starter to prepare for the upcoming summer transfer window. One of the first issues for the Rossoneri to solve is the future of Mateo Musacchio.

The situation is clear. The contract of the Argentine defender expires in 2021 and AC Milan have informed Musacchio that his deal will not be extended and the club will sell him.

The 29-year-old started the season as the partner of captain Alessio Romagnoli in defence but he has since fallen down the pecking order. Coach Stefano Pioli prefers Simon Kjaer and Matteo Gabbia making Musacchio the fourth choice in defence.

Yesterday Musacchio, on social media, wanted to remind the club of his love for Milan but his sale is just a matter of time. Very likely the central defender will return to Spain where he has played in the past for 8 years.

Valencia, Sevilla and Real Betis are interested in his services. According to Todofichajes.com, Valencia have made an offer of 8 million euros for Matteo Musacchio while AC Milan hope to get 10 million for their defender. Talks are ongoing.
