Andre Silva reveals his main problem during Milan debut season

Portugal international Andre Silva has revealed the main difficulty he faced in his first year in Italy that has not been as brilliant as everyone was hoping.

The Portuguese ace joined the Rossoneri from Porto for a hefty figure of 38 million euros but has failed to justify his price tag ever since. The 22 year old striker scored only 2 goals in Serie A this season, too little for a player that was expected to lead the attack of AC Milan this year. Thankfully Silva is still young and the club may offer him another chance to prove himself.

For the first time, Andre Silva opens up about his difficult first year in Italy in an interview with Forza Milan. The talented striker who will play in World Cup 2018 with Portugal revealed the problems he faced in his first season at San Siro.

He said: “The different physical preparation is not important, because I am strong from that point of view. The main difficulty is to adapt to the lifestyle, to the change of habits, the language, the people, the team. I’m not Italian and I’m here alone, I speak only Portuguese while others speak Italian and only a few know Spanish”
