Bordeaux inform AC Milan of their decision on Adli’s loan termination

AC Milan wanted to cut short the adventure of Yacine Adli with Bordeaux but that will not be the case.

During the summer AC Milan decided to spend 10 million euros for Bordeaux talent Yacine Adli. However, Adli would stay in Ligue 1 on loan until the end of the season and only join the Rossoneri next summer.

The 21-year-old central midfielder has over 80 official appearances in France despite his young age. This season has been a very positive one for Adli with one goal and six assists in 19 league appearances with Bordeaux so far. Adli’s great performances this season have pushed AC Milan to consider his early recall in January.

The Rossoneri are set to lose midfield duo Ismael Bennacer and Franck Kessie for one month. The two central midfielders will be busy with their respective national teams in Africa’s Cup of Nations so coach Sefano Pioli would have loved to have a new midfielder under his orders.

However, that won’t happened. Or at least the new midfielder will not be Yacine Adli. Calciomercato.com reports that Bordeaux have informed AC Milan or their decision to respect the agreement made last summer and keep Yacine Adli until the end of the season.

Similar situation for Tommaso Pobega. The Italian central midfielder is excelling at Torino but there are no chances for the termination of his loan. On the contrary, Torino are working to convince AC Milan to purchase Pobega permanently at the end of the season for a figure of over 20 million euros.
