Calhanoglu rejected big money offer from RB Leipzig

An opportunity to return in Germany was presented to Hakan Calhanoglu but the midfielder rejected reiterating his will to stay at AC Milan.

After a difficult start in Italy Hakan Calhanoglu seems he has finally returned to his to old days level. The Turkish 23 year old midfielder is being used as left winger by new coach Gennaro Gattuso and is excelling in that position. But in January there was a real possibility that Hakan may have left the Rossoneri.

According to reports this morning by Leggo, Hakan Calhanoglu has refused an important offer from Red Bull Leipzig. The German club proposed him a contract of 3 million euros that would have increased to 4 million (at Milan he earns 2.5). The Turkish international rejected this offered because he wanted to stay at Milan.

The feeling was mutual because even the Rossoneri didn’t want to lose the former Bayer Leverkusen star. If AC Milan had accepted the bid they would have earned 25-30 million euros from his transfer to RB Leipzig.
