Udinese vs AC Milan, probable lineups

Today AC Milan are hosted in Udine in a match valid for the 23rd round of Serie A. The Rossoneri want to continue the good run against an historically difficult opponent.

The Rossoneri open the busy month of February with an away match against Udinese, tomorrow at 15:00 CET. While AC Milan offered a positive performance in the two meetings with Lazio, Sunday’s match represents another difficult obstacle for the squad of coach Gattuso who will face his old friend Massimo Oddo, current manager of Udine.

Between the posts, as usual, Gianluigi Donnarumma. In front of him Gattuso has to make forced choices on the flanks, with Ignazio Abate playing on the right and Davide Calabria on the left. Ricardo Rodriguez has not been called up for the challenge, due to his health issues. In any case, on the bench available to the coach are Luca Antonelli (ready if Abate does not seem convincing) and Fabio Borini: the second offered a much better performance on the left in Coppa Italia’s Milan-Lazio, despite being a role entirely new for him. The two centrals will always be Leonardo Bonucci and Alessio Romagnoli.

Coach Gennaro Gattuso aims to make no changes in midfield deploying the usual unit. Lucas Biglia will be the playmaker, with Giacomo Bonaventura and Franck Kessie on his side.

Andre Silva & Hakan Calhanoglu

The only doubt is in attack, who will be the starting centre forward? While Nikola Kalinic was considered as the favorite, Andre Silva has been tested lately and is expected to lead the attack today. It will be a good opportunity for the Portugal international to demonstrate Gattuso he deserves a starter place more than Kalinic. He will be supported by Suso and Hakan Calhanoglu, respectively on the right and left of the forward trio.

UDINESE (3-5-2): Bizzarri; Angella, Danilo, Nuytinck, Larsen; Barack, Behrami, Jankto, Pezzella; De Paul, Lasagna.

MILAN (4-3-3): G. Donnarumma; Abate, Bonucci, Romagnoli, Calabria; Kessie, Biglia, Bonaventura; Suso, Calhanoglu, Andre Silva.
