Chelsea offer €64m winger flop to AC Milan

AC Milan could sign a new right winger in January after the injuries of Saelemaekers and Messias with Chelsea ready to provide a solution.

Last week AC Milan played Chelsea in the third round of the Champions League group stage. It was an unfortunate trip to England for the Rossoneri who lost the match 3-0 without being able to react at any moment. The encounter was also an opportunity for the managers of the two clubs to discuss transfers.

AC Milan and Chelsea have often done business together in recent years with Olivier Giroud, Fikayo Tomori and Tiemoue Bakayoko arriving from the Premier League side. Now, the Rossoneri have Armando Broja and Hakim Ziyech on their radar while Christian Pulisic is the new name discussed.

Calciomercato.com reports that Chelsea have offered Christian Pulisic to AC Milan. While the Blues are reluctant to part ways with Broja, they are open to let the American right winger to leave Stamford Bridge. Pulisic joined Chelsea from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2019 for a transfer fee of €64 million.

The 24-year-old has found it difficult to establish himself in England. Thomas Tuchel was not a big fan of Pulisic while the situation it’s unlikely to change under new coach Graham Potter. The contract of the American international expires in less than two years so Chelsea are considering all options.

AC Milan currently lack depth on the right wing. Both Saelemaekers and Junior Messias have suffered injuries leaving the squad exposed on their side. The Serie A champions are reportedly evaluating the signing of a new right winger in January but the name of Christian Pulisic doesn’t seem very appealing.
