CM: AC Milan to make official bid for Botman

AC Milan are seriously interested in Sven Botman and will soon present an official bid to Lille according to reports.

Gleison Bremer and Sven Botman are AC Milan’s top transfer targets to replace the injured Simon Kjaer. Bremer’s 25 million euros rating from Torino is considered unrealistic by the Rossoneri who have also no intention to make a swap deal that includes Tommaso Pobega.

This situation has forced AC Milan to concentrate all their efforts on Botman. The 21-year-old Netherlands centre back is AC Milan’s top pick but purchasing him from Lille is not going to be easy.

Lille value Botman around 25-30 million euros. A hefty figure AC Milan are trying to avoid after spending 30 million for Fikayo Tomori six months ago. However, AC Milan will do everything in their power to sign the Lille defender.

Journalist Daniele Longo reports that Maldini and Massare have intensified contacts with Botman’s entourage in recent days. The Rossoneri will soon present an official offer for the towering defender. According to Longo, AC Milan want to sign Sven Botman on an initial loan with the option to make the transfer permanent at the end of the season. An option that becomes obligation if certain objectives are met.

A proposal similar to what happened with Tomori and Chelsea last year. Meanwhile the young defender favors in move to AC Milan. Botman has reportedly rejected a very rich contract from Newcastle. At the Rossoneri Sven would find his former teammate and close friend Mike Maignan.
