Coach Gattuso punishes Milan players after Benevento loss
AC Milan have returned to training immediately cancelling the two days of rest scheduled before the humiliating defeat against Benevento.
Since the arrival of Gennaro Gattuso on the bench, AC Milan have been displaying excellent performances, that is until recently. AC Milan produced an impressive undefeated run from December through March, also reaching the Coppa Italia final, but after the Europa League defeat against Arsenal the Rossoneri have never been the same.
The coach was furious after the home fiasco against Benevento and has decided to cancel the two days of rest scheduled for today and tomorrow. The squad returned to training today and there was a confrontation in the locker room between Fassone, Gattuso and the players.
The coach and Marco Fassone wanted to remind all player of the importance of playing for AC Milan and what this club represents in the world. Results like the one with Benevento are unacceptable and after failing to qualify for Champions the team can’t let the Europa League spot slip through their fingers. Immediate reaction is expected against Bologna.
