“Defects in his game”: New arrival set for shock departure

Chelsea loanee Tiemoue Bakayoko has failed to impress Gennaro Gattuso and is set to cut short his stay at San Siro in January.

The Italian adventure of Tiemoue Bakayoko is going to be shorter than anyone expected. The 24 year old defensive midfielder joined AC Milan on a season-long loan and the Rossoneri have an option to buy for 35 million euros. An option that AC Milan have no intention to exercise according to Il Corriere dello Sport and The Mirror.

The French player has failed to adapt to Serie A and he could be forced into a humiliating early return to Stamford Bridge with AC Milan threatening to cancel his loan deal in January. A purchase of former coach Antonio Conte for 40 million Bakayoko had no place in Sarri’s squad.

The former Monaco star has not impressed in his 6 appearances with the Red and Blacks this season. He has made only two starts from the first minute and is not respecting the initial plan of being the vice-Kessie.

Coach Gennaro Gattuso has continuously hit out at Bakayoko, even claiming that “Bakayoko must learn some basic things like how to receive the ball”. According to Rino the 24 year old lacks the required maturity to play in his midfield.
