Elliott meets with Lazio for Milinkovic-Savic transfer

AC Milan continue to negotiate with Lazio the purchase of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and new owners Elliot have decided to assist the operation.

It is a very difficult task to complete by Friday but Milan seems to want to try until the last minute of this summer transfer window to snatch Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio. Leonardo has been working for several weeks on this negotiation but he is not alone. Elliott is in fact giving a helping hand to the technical director and according to rumors a meeting was held last Friday in Cortina between some representatives of the American fund and Lazio’s president Claudio Lotito.

Today’s edition of Tuttosport reports that during this summit the president of Lazio has reaffirmed the price tag of the Serbian midfielder: 120 million euro. But it seems that Lotito has not completely closed the doors to a departure of Milinkovic on loan with the right to buy (40 + 80), that is the formula that would have proposed AC Milan. The problem is that the Biancocelesti president does not accept technical counterparts, while the Red and Blacks would like to offer Bonaventura, Borini and Montolivo in exchange.

The operation remains very difficult even though Elliott has entered the pitch. The American fund has guaranteed UEFA that it would have made a transfer campaign that would not have passed certain guidelines within the parameters of the Financial Fair Play in the next years. An important sale, like for example that of Donnarumma or Suso, could help, but for Gigio and Spaniard the club has not received proper offers so far. The next two days will be decisive to understand if the Milinkovic-Savic will be just a summer dream or something more.
