Official – AC Milan complete the signing of Bakayoko from Chelsea
AC Milan have completed the signing of Tiemouè Bakayoko from Chelsea. The 23 year old defensive midfielder will be in Italy shortly to sign his new contract.
After several days of negotiations and meetings, AC Milan and Chelsea have found an agreement for the transfer of Tiemouè Bakayoko to Italy. According to Sportmediaset, in fact, the Franco-Ivorian midfielder is expected to arrive in Milano today in the next few hours.
The player will undergo medical visits tomorrow before signing a loan contract with AC Milan of 5 million euros with the option to make the move permanent at the end of the season for an additional 35 million. Bakayoko becomes the first reinforcement for the midfield of AC Milan this summer.
The 23 year old French international was purchased by Chelsea last summer for a fee of 40 million euros but he failed to justify the investment. He leaves the London side after only one season to begin a new adventure in Italy with the Rossoneri.
