Emanuelson: “That time Ibrahimovic threw Gattuso in the trash”

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, today at the Los Angeles Galaxy, is not only a phenomenal forward, but also a locker-room man, a charismatic leader capable of imposing himself also with the senators. The legendary striker was part of the Red and Black club for two years between 2010-2012 before transferring to PSG.

During his time at AC Milan, for example, the giant Swedish champion managed to get in trouble with a certain Gennaro Ivan Gattuso, current coach of the Red and Black squad.

Former Rossonero Urby Emanuelson, a Dutch full-back who played for AC Milan for four seasons, revealed a funny story regarding the two while at Milan. In an interview with Voetbal International Emanuelson confessed:

“Ibrahimovic was arrogant but it is part of his character. In my career I have never had a teammate with such a personality. I remember that once Ibrahimovic took on Gattuso and, despite Rino being physically strong, Ibra managed to throw him in the trash can. Gattuso was teasing Zlatan all morning that day but latter in the dressing room and Ibra lifted him, flipped him over and threw him in the trash can. It was hilarious”.
