Gazzetta: AC Milan reach agreement with Morata

AC Milan are one step closer to getting their striker. Alvaro Morata and the Rossoneri have agreed personal terms, now it’s time to reach a deal with Chelsea.

Alvaro Morata remains top choice of the Rossoneri for the attack. AC Milan did their best last summer to snatch him from Real Madrid but everything failed when Los Blacos raised his price from 60 to 80 million euros. The Red and blacks backed down and the 25 year old joined Chelsea instead.

However, after a disappointing first year in England the Spanish centre forward wants to return in Serie A and regrets not joining AC Milan when he could. He and his Italian wife Alice Campello feel nostalgic about Italy. On the other hand the Rossoneri would be ready to welcome him with open arms even this time.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Morata has expressed his willingness to join AC Milan. Furthermore when Mirabelli met him in person in the company of his agent the trio reached a pact. The Spaniard’s only condition was to receive the same salary he is paid at Chelsea, around 8 million euros. Mirabelli agreed. Now the club must find an agreement with Chelsea but that isn’t expected to be difficult since the English have transfer listed him. The only obstacle could be UEFA.
