Gazzetta: Bologna 1-2 AC Milan, player ratings

The performance convinces, but according to the opinion of Gennaro Gattuso not entirely. AC Milan beat Bologna without hiding certain structural defects.

The Rossoneri start strong, dominate and close the first half at 2-0, but in the second half the team wastes too many chances and risks in the final moments of the game when Bologna are too close to equalizing. However the individual performances of many players put on the pitch yesterday by coach Gattuso are finally comforting, after the sensational flops of the last few weeks.

As usual, La Gazzetta dello Sport has published today the ratings for each AC Milan player part of yesterday’s success at the Stadio Dall’Ara. Needless to say that the man of the match was without a doubt Hakan Calhanoglu, rewarded with a deserved 7.5 for his goal, assists and crucial plays. Very positive also the display of the other goal scorer Giacomo Bonaventura, who takes a 7 and exits rather gray and unlucky period on a personal level.

In defense stands out the performance of Cristian Zapata (6.5) able to resolve various insidious situations and not be surprised in the final moments. Not so good instead Franck Kessie (6), who never manages to express his talent despite some decent plays or a too soft Cutrone (6) in front of the goal despite the usual spirit of sacrifice and goodwill. The biggest disappointment of the match is obviously Jesus Suso, rewarded with a 5.5 that reflects his display: inaccurate, sore, the classic game of “I want to but I can’t”.
