Gazzetta: Disappointing Andre Silva set for summer exit

Portuguese star Andre Silva could be on his way out of AC Milan in the summer with the Rossoneri willing to listen to offers.

Sports director Massimiliano Mirabelli met Jorge Mendes during his trip to Madrid on Tuesday. AC Milan have a privileged relationship with the Portuguese agent and both attended Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich semifinal at Santiago Bernabeu. Latter they discussed several transfer opportunities for the summer but the departure of Andre Silva was their main topic of conversation reports La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The young Portuguese star has failed to justify his 38 million euros price-tag this season with only 2 goals in Serie A and his agent is unhappy with the striker’s playing time this season. While initially Silva seemed to be untouchable despite his poor performances now the Rossoneri are willing to let him go and sign a top striker instead. Even Mendes believes his client is not going to improve his playing time at San Siro anytime soon.

The 22 year old is not likely to be a regular starter for next season and his agent is already in contact with several potential suitors. Andre Silva could also leave AC Milan on loan with obligation to buy. Monaco and Arsenal seem to be the two most interested clubs with the French ready to offer Keita Balde, an old target of AC Milan, in exchange.
