Hauge’s reaction after Europa League exclusion

AC Milan fans were surprised by Stefano Pioli’s decision to leave Jens Peter Hauge out of the Rossoneri’s Europa League squad list.

The news of Jens Petter Hauge’s exclusion from the UEFA squad list surprised all the Rossoneri fans. The Norwegian talent had shown his best skills in Europa League, scoring 3 of his 4 goals in Europe (plus 3 goals with Bodo Glimt).

The reasons for his exclusion are not of a tactical nature but due to number limitations. The clubs must necessarily have home-grown players, otherwise the number of players in B list drops from 23 to 22.

After the arrival of new signings in January, Meite, Tomori and Mandzukic, the Rossoneri chose to exclude the Norwegian, left winger considering that that role is covered with Ante Rebic, Rafael Leao and Mario Mandzukic.

Tuttosport reports that the player was disappointed with AC Milan’s choice to leave him out of Europa League. Nevertheless, the 21-year-old has accepted the decision with great professionalism, putting the interest of the club before his personal one. The player hopes to find more space in the league during the rest of the season.

AC Milan spent 5 million euros to purchase Jens Peter Hauge from Bodo Glimt. The Norway international has impressed with his dribbling skills and in the last days of the mercato AC Milan rejected an offer from Bayer Leverkusen for their gem.
