Leonardo in negotiations with two wingers

With Bernard having joined Everton, AC Milan are back on the market to find a new left winger to complete Gattuso’s team.

Michele Criscitiello, journalist at Sportitalia, offers new updates on the Rossoneri’s transfer market targets. Specifically regarding the left winger position for which AC Milan are searching for a top player.

For the midfielder, the Rossoneri are about about to close a loan deal with Chelsea for Tiemoué Bakayoko (read here). Negotiations are at an advanced stage but if the operation were to fail, technical director Leonardo has already a plan B that leads to Italy.

While for the attack Samu Castillejo of Villarreal is plan A, while the second alternative would be Anthony Martial. Some progress has been made recently for Manchester United’s talent but there are still many difficulties. This is why the Spanish 23 year old winger remains the most viable option. A meeting is scheduled between the two club and Carlos Bacca could be involved in this operation.

Leonardo would like to close two incoming transfers by the beginning of next week and avoid any last minute operations. While for Bakayoko the parties are very close to an agreement that same can not be said for the new winger. Surely both Castillejo and Martial would be useful for AC Milan and coach Gennaro Gattuso.
