Leonardo and Maldini in meeting with Bakayoko’s agent
AC Milan are very close to acquiring the services of Chelsea’s 23 year old defensive midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko.
A few minutes ago Leonardo and Maldini welcomed at Casa Milan the entourage of Tiemoué Bakayoko, composed by the player’s brother agent and the Italian intermediary dealing with this negotiation. The meeting lasted more than one hour and a quarter and it was not the first time the parties meet to negotiate.
Talks were very positive and the 23 year old has accepted the Rossoneri as his next destination. Only one issue remains to be solved: the formula of this operation, even though Chelsea are more than willing to accept a season-long loan with an option to buy. The real problem is how to divide the salary of the player, who currently earns 6,5 million euros per season.
It is important to understand how much will AC Milan pay and how much the London club for the signing of the French midfielder. However the sensation is that Bakayoko will move to join Gennaro Gattuso’s squad.
