Liverpool star: “Milan have made a great signing”

Liverpool star Fabinho claims that Chelsea will regret selling Tiemoue Bakayoko to AC Milan.

Liverpool midfielder Fabinho spoke of former team-mate Tiemoue Bakayoko transfer to AC Milan in surprising terms. The duo were part of Monaco’s Ligue 1 title winning squad in 2017 before making big money moves to England. Although the French midfielder failed at Chelsea, Fabinho is backing him to succeed in Italy.

“I don’t think he struggled that much. I watched a few Chelsea games and he seemed always good to me. Obviously, in your first season in a new club it’s always difficult and I wasn’t expecting him to leave, but AC Milan are getting a great player. I’m sure he’ll be able to prove how good he is and show what he did at Monaco. I’m sure if he comes back to England he will be stronger and will show everyone what he’s capable of”.

Tiemoue Bakayoko joined the Red and Blacks on loan with an option to buy. If the 24 year old defensive midfielder manages to replicate his Monaco performances, the Rossoneri can make his move permanent for 35 million euros. The French made his Italian debut in AC Milan’s 3-2 defeat against Napoli.
