Manuel Locatelli to join Sassuolo: the details
The expected arrival of Bakayoko from Chelsea pushes Manuel Locatelli away from AC Milan. Sassuolo are ready to help.
Manuel Locatelli to Sassuolo is back on. A few months ago the old Chinese ownership had agreed to sell 20 year old midfielder to Sassuolo for a fee of around 12 million euros. New owners Elliot blocked everything at the time but now Locatelli seems again destined to leave the Rossoneri but on different terms.
The arrival of Bakayoko form Chlesea, with the two clubs very close to an agreement, leaves to room for Locatelli at Milan. Even though Leonardo recently declared that: “His growth path is not yet complete. We would be happy if he continued it here at Milan“, it is necessary for the young Italian to play more. And that’s something that only Sassuolo can guarantee.
The two club have been negotiating in recent days and Manuel Locatelli will join Sassuolo on loan only if AC Milan sign Tiémoué Bakayoko. No option to buy will be given to Sassuolo and at the end of the season the 20 year old will return to San Siro.
