Marco Asensio’s wage demands to AC Milan revealed

AC Milan are seriously interested in Real Madrid winger Marco Asensio. The player is on the market but his contract demands are a problem.

AC Milan will sign a new right winger this summer. Castillejo, Messias and Saelemaekers are not providing the goals and assists the Rossoneri need. Marco Asensio and Domenico Berardi are the two main candidates for the role. The Real Madrid star is AC Milan preferred option for obvious reasons.

Marco Asensio is younger (26) and has played at the highest levels for the majority of his career. In fact, at Milan, Asensio would be the most titled player after Ibrahimovic. With two Champions League trophies to his name and over 220 appearances with Real Madrid, Milan are confident Asensio could take the club to the next level.

The Spanish right winger has only one year remaining in his contract with the La Liga giants. Real Madrid are open to sell him and are reportedly asking a reasonable transfer fee of €25 million for Marco Asensio. A figure that Milan would be glad to spend. Personal terms are a big problem.

The Spanish right winger is currently earning close to €5 million per season. That’s in line with what Milan offered to Theo Hernandez and Rafael Leao. However, Asensio is asking for an improved contract. Journalist Antonio Vitiello reports that his entourage has for 7 million per season.

That’s considered an exaggerated demand by the Rossoneri. The parties continue to negotiate in order to understand if a deal would be feasible. The Spaniard has also been approached by Arsenal and Newcastle. Asensio has asked that his next clubs plays in Champions and, so far, only AC Milan can guarantee that.
