MN: AC Milan ready to spend €30m for Berardi on one condition

AC Milan want to improve their right wing with Domenico Berardi but Sassuolo’s €30 million asking price is a problem.

Sassuolo star Domenico Berardi is one of the main candidates for the right winger role. The Rossoneri plan to make a new signing in that area of the pitch because Castillejo, Saelemaekers and Messias have not been able to provide the necessary number of goals and assists this season.

Berardi has reportedly the blessing of Stefano Pioli. The Italian coach asked for his signing last season but talks were unsuccessful. The Rossoneri were shocked by Sassuolo’s €40 million asking price and ultimately the Italian player stayed at the Neroverdi club.

The 27-year-old right winger is having another fantastical season with Sassuolo. Domenico Berardi has scored 14 goals and assisted another 14 in 27 Serie A appearances. Numbers that make him the most lethal winger to play in Italy. The Rossoneri have never lost sight of Berardi and have opened a new round of talks.

This time Sassuolo are asking a fee of 30 million for their star. Berardi’s contract expires in two years so it’s highly likely he changes club this summer. Nevertheless, that figure is considered high by the Rossoneri and the reasoning behind this verdict is simple. Berardi soon turns 28, he will have low resale value and has never played in European competitions in his career.

However, AC Milan are willing to spend 30 million euros for Domenico Berardi but under certain conditions. Sassuolo must grant Milan the same favorable terms they offered to Juventus for Manuel Locatelli reports MilanNews.it. Sassuolo agreed to sell Locatelli to Juventus on a initial two-years loan. Juventus will sign Locatelli permanently for €25 million. Sassuolo can receive a bonus of €12.5 million if certain conditions are met.
