Midfielder set for shocking contract renewal

According to reports by Sportmediaset, 27 year old central midfielder Andrea Bertolacci will soon renew his contract with AC Milan. The permanence of Bertolacci in the Rossoneri was a specific request of coach Gennaro Gattuso.

The Italian midfielder was expected to join Genoa or Everton this summer. The English club had made an offer of 6 million euros for his services while the proposal of Genoa was similar.

Apparently Bertolacci has impressed Rino in recent training sessions at Milanello, returning after a one year loan at Genoa. His permanence could also a signal that the Red and Blacks club will not make any purchases in midfield this summer.

Andrea Bertolacci remains one of the biggest flops of Adriano Galliani’s tenure at Milan. The Rossoneri signed the 27 year old midfielder from Roma in 2015 for a big fee of 20 million euros. During his two seasons at San Siro Bertolacci never showed that he was a player worthy of Milan.
