Gazzetta: New look for Milan, Fassone and Mirabelli “frozen”

The reign of Elliot at AC Milan has just began. The American fund is already at work trying to change the managerial structure of the club.

AC Milan is about to have a restyle, after having changed ownership, it could/should also renew the management. As reported by the current edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the condition of the Rossoneri leaders remains the most difficult to frame. In the shareholders meeting scheduled for Saturday, July 21st, the new board will be appointed and Marco Fassone’s position will inevitably be re-discussed.

Elliot had a meeting with Marco Fassone at the last summit held in London but the issue is still pending. As for the sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli. In coming days – reports La Gazzetta – would be scheduled a series of contacts between the managers of Elliott and the candidates who could take over at AC Milan. To replace Fassone has emerged a new name, that of Ivan Gazidis, executive director of Arsenal and former deputy commissioner of Major League Soccer.

Regarding the technical area, however, there is a nomination that seems to have already gathered more preferences than others. It is that of former Rossonero Leonardo, who showed good leadership skills at Paris Saint-Germain and has already worked in the past for Milan. Elliott considers the Brazilian to be the high-profile manager to whom entrust with the role of general manager or head of the technical area. He could also cover the public relations.
