AC Milan respond to Paqueta offer

In recent days AC Milan have received an offer from Fiorentina for Brazilian midfielder Lucas Paqueta.

Calciomercato reports that Lucas Paqueta has given his availability to Fiorentina. The AC Milan midfielder, already close to the Viola club in January, could now really make the transition to Firenze a reality.

In fact, acmilaninfo.com has reported on the continuous interest of Fiorentina on the former Flamengo. The 22-year-old midfielder who, according to what was revealed by the president of the Brazilian club, will end up costing Milan 45 million in total making him the most expensive signing in AC Milan history.

Fiorentina would like to sign Paqueta on loan while AC Milan are pushing for his definitive sale. Milan have informed Fiorentina that they will accept a loan move for Lucas Paqueta only if the transfer included an obligation to buy.

The Brazil international had hoped to play his chances at the Rossoneri in the remaining games but he has now been convinced to leave. Fiorentina are insisting, the player is open to leave and Milan are willing to negotiate. All the ingredients are there but the Rossoneri want to profit at least 30 million from their midfielder. A suitable solution could be found in the coming weeks.

Since joining Milan in January 2019 the former Flamengo has been unable to cement himself as a regular starter under Giampaolo and Pioli. This season the Brazilian has made 19 appearances, unable to score a single goal and providing just one assist.
