Milan-Inter argue on derby date

Still little clarity on the derby date to be played between AC Milan and Inter, cancelled last Sunday after the death of Davide Astori.

Il Corriere della Sera writes today about a small calendar discussion between AC Milan and Inter regarding the derby date. League commissioner Giovanni Malago has officially announced the dates of 3 and 4 April for the recovery of the other games of the 27th round, all postponed because of the sudden death of Davide Astori, but the derby remains a mystery.

The will of the League would be to play Milan-Inter as soon as possible, probably on 3-4 April along with the other matches. A decision that would not please the Rossoneri, who have given approval instead for April 25 or May 1, two holiday dates in Italy. In this way the fans would have a better chance to go to San Siro, while playing in a midweek afternoon could bring at least 20 thousand spectators less at the stadium. One thing is certain: everything will be decided next Friday, after the return match of Europa League between Arsenal and Milan. And if the Rossoneri qualify for next round, the date of the derby would be pushed even further.
