Milan interested in Brazil star, Chelsea in advantage

AC Milan have started to move on the market and have identified 20 year old Flamengo star as potential target for the midfield.

AC Milan are interested in Flamengo’s midfielder Lucas Paqueta. The young Brazilian talent, according to reports from English tabloid Daily Mirror, however, is being followed by many European top clubs including Juventus, Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea. In particular, the new team of Italian coach Maurizio Sarri would be ready to offer 45 million euros for the rising Brazilian star, a figure close to his release clause of 50 million.

Lucas Paqueta is being touted as the next big thing in his homeland. The 20 year old attacking midfielder joined Flamengo’s first team in 2016 and for the past two seasons he has made 68 appearances, scoring 11 goals and also collecting 8 games with Brazil U-20 squad.

Sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli has created a wide network of scouts in South America and Paqueta is a strong suggestion of his Latin collaborators. The Rossoneri are not willing to offer more than 20 million euros for his services. The young prospect of Flamengo has a contract until 2020.
