Two Milan stars recover from injuries

AC Milan face Olympiacos today in Greece. A very important game for both teams who aim qualification for the next stage. While the Rossoneri could qualify even in case of a defeat with a one goal difference, Olympiacos’ only choice is a convincing win.

Coach Genanro Gattuso doesn’t trust the Greeks and will deploy his best eleven this evening (read here). The good news is that some of the injured players are back in training with the group. Mateo Musacchio has fully recovered and has been called by Rino for this match.

Captain Alessio Romagnoli too has made great progress and is close to his return. The Argentine defender may make an appearance today in the last minutes of the game but he will probable start in the upcoming Serie A match against Bologna.

Romagnoli instead needs a bit more time and should be back on the pitch for the last games of the year. The important thing is that he, just like Musacchio, is training with the group. In the next Serie A games will the see again the central duo of the beginning of the season.

Here’s the complete list of players for Milan-Olympiacos:

GOALKEEPERS: Donnarumma A., Donnarumma G., Reina
DEFENDERS: Abate, Calabria, Laxalt, Musacchio, Rodriguez, Simic, Zapata
MIDFIELDERS: Bakayoko, Bertolacci, Kessie, Mauri
FORWARDS: Calhanoglu, Castillejo, Cutrone, Halilovic, Higuain, Suso.
