Two Rossoneri players to miss Milan-Betis
AC Milan players Lucas Biglia and Hakan Calhanoglu will miss Thursday’s Europa League match against Real Betis.
It was a tough night yesterday. The Rossoneri lost against Inter in the last minutes of the match. A moment of distraction between Gigio Donnarumma and Matteo Musacchio allowed Mauro Icardi to score the winner. And if that wasn’t enough bad news continue today.
One of the hottest moments of the derby was the clash between Lucas Biglia and Radja Nainggolan that risked causing a brawl on the pitch. A seemingly harsh foul on the Belgium star resulted in injuries for both players.
While the Inter midfielder abandoned the game instantly it did not happened the same with the Rossonero. Biglia instead continued to play until the end but it was clear he wasn’t at his 100%. Today it is confirmed that the Argentine midfielder has suffered a minor injury in his knee and will miss the upcoming Europa League encounter against Real Betis.
Another player to skip the UEL mach against the Spanish club is Hakan Calhanoglu. The Turkish winger, one of the worst on the pitch in the derby, has suffered a toe injury. The 24 year old will miss the match mostly as a precautionary measure. Gattuso will hope that Hakan uses this days of rest also to clear his mind and return in his best shape for Sampdoria.
