Italian Supercup final: AC Milan-Juventus date decided
Juventus and AC Milan face each-other this Sunday for the main event of Serie A week twelve but the two Italian giants have an even more prestigious challenge in January.
Juventus won Serie A last season and also the Coppa Italia but because the Cup final was against AC Milan the two club will face for the Italian Supercup to be held in Gedda, Saudi Arabia.
So far the Italian League has not announced the official date of the final but, according to Il Corriere dello Sport, it will be played on the 16th of January. A meeting happened today between Lega Calcio chiefs and a decision has been taken.
We are two months away from the final and it’s too soon for AC Milan to think about it. Instead the Rossoneri should concentrate on the upcoming Serie A and Europa League games.
Even the Supercup final has been affected by the murder of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi by Saudi royalties. Human rights organizations, Amnesty International included, have asked both AC Milan and Juve to boycott the Italian Supercup in Saudi Arabia.
