Pioli to deploy his best eleven for Inter vs AC Milan

AC Milan face Inter in the second leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final. The winner will progress in the final.

AC Milan face Inter in the second Coppa Italia semi-final tomorrow. Both clubs are leading the fight for the Scudetto this season but also for the Cup. After the goalless draw in the first leg, tomorrow’s Inter vs Milan will decide who will progress in the final.

Pioli and the management have tried to keep the player’s focus on the derby match avoiding questions about the possible club sale to Investcorp. The Italian coach will deploy his best elven for Inter v Milan with Brahim Diaz out once more.

Pierre Kalulu and Fikayo Tomori have formed a great partnership in the middle of defence. Davide Calabria has recovered and will start from the first minute on the right with Theo Hernandez completing the back four. As always, Mike Maignan between the posts.

Sandro Tonali will play alongside Ismael Bennacer in midfield. The return of the Algerian star gave the squad some much needed tranquility and vision against Genoa. Again, Franck Kessie will be advanced in the attacking midfielder role despite his unremarkable performances in that position.

Rafeal Leao and Junior Messias will complete the trio in support of Olivier Giroud. The Portuguese left winger found the back of the net against Genoa after a long period of draught, just like Messias. Giroud will lead the attack in search of his first goal since the Napoli match.

AC MILAN Probable XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan, Calabria, Kalulu, Tomori, Theo Hernandez, Tonali, Bennacer, Leao, Kessie, Messias, Giroud.

INTER Probable XI (3-5-2):  Handanovic; Skriniar, De Vrij, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Brozovic, Calhanoglu, Perisic; Dzeko, Lautaro.
