Player ratings: AC Milan 3-2 Inter

Leao equalizes within the first half. AC Milan take the lead thanks to another slick turn from Olivier Giroud and Leao’s double.
MAIGNAN 8 – While Leao may catch more the newspaper headlines it was Mike Maignan to save the result on a umber of occasions. A towering performance from the French star who who proves again to be the best goalkeeper in Italy.
CALABRIA 6 – A bit imprecise in Inter’s second goal but attentive for the rest of the match.
KALULU 6,5 – Another solid and aggressive match from Pierre Kalulu.
TOMORI 6,5 – Important intervention on Lautaro near the end of the first half. He’s late in supporting Kalulu on the occasion of Inter’s first goal but rarely makes any wrong moves afterwards.
THEO HERNANDEZ 6,5 – Many counterattacks start from Theo Hernandez. Comes close to finding the back of the net on one occasion. Perfect in the second half despite having a yellow card. Wins the duel with Dumfries.
TONALI 7,5 – Sandro is an absolute protagonist in attack in the first half serving also the assists for Leao’s first goal. Dominates in the middle of the pitch.
BENNACER 6,5 – Another positive performances from Ismael.
MEASSIAS 6 – Junior is tasked with a tactical role. He starts from the midfield and pushes ahead every time he has the ball in his feet.
DE KETELAERE 6 – The Belgian is a little late in covering Brozovic when Inter open the scoresheet. He does well in his first derby being always present in attack.
LEAO 9 – What a fantastic performances from AC Milan’s left winger. The Portuguese star scores two goals and provides one assists. His second goal was a masterpiece of individual skills. Leao dribbles and dazzles three Inter defenders before putting the ball in Handanovic’s net.
GIROUD 7,5 – He is the focus point of his teammates and is served a lot throughout the match. The French striker is a very intelligent and his goal demonstrates it in once again.
