Gazzetta: PSG to move for AC Milan midfielder

Gazzetta reports that Paris Saint-Germain are interested in AC Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu who is about to become a free agent.

Leonardo Araujo was chosen to lead Elliot’s new AC Milan but the Brazilian left after only one year. Nevertheless, the former player, coach and sporting director of the Rossoneri continues to keep an eye at his old and its players.

After a long courtship for Gianluigi Donnarumma, Paris Saint-Germain have turned their attention to Hakan Calhanoglu. The Turkish attacking midfielder becomes a free agent at the end of the season and has yet to agree a new contact with AC Milan.

According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNew.it), the interest of PSG in Calhanoglu is serious. His agent has guaranteed the Rossoneri a sort of priority but negotiations regarding the renewal have been unsuccessful so far. The Turkey international wants 5 million per season while the Rossoneri are not offering more than €4 million.

In the summer of 2017, AC Milan spent 24 million euros to purchase Hakan Calhanoglu from Bayer Leverkusen. In the last four seasons the 27-year-old attacking midfielder has made over 160 appearances with the Rossoneri.

Hakan has played a key role in AC Milan’s Champions League hopes this season. He has scored 7 goals and assisted 11 in 35 appearances so far.
