Red Bull sack Ralf Rangnick

Red Bull have relieved the German of his duties in a clear signal that Ralf Rangnick will be the new coach of AC Milan.

The last few days have been tense but very indicative for the future of AC Milan. Ralf Rangnick’s confirmation that he was close to the Rossoneri was blasted by technical director Paolo Maldini.

Rangnick’s comments on more power at his new clubs: “If theoretically I have to think about going somewhere else, I should to be able to do things my way”, were deemed greatly inappropriate by the legendary number 3.

“I have some advice for him, before learning Italian he should review the general concepts of respect, as there are colleagues who, despite the many difficulties of the moment, are trying to finish the season in a very professional way, putting the best of Milan before their professional pride”, said Paolo.

What surprised many was the silence of the Rossoneri club, especially of Ivan Gazidis. According to Tuttosport, the reason of Gazidis’ silence is related to his total agreement with the German coach who will also act as sporting director of the Rossoneri. Additional information from Germany confirms this hypothesis.

Deutsche Presse-Agentur reveals that Red Bull have relieved of his duties Ralf Rangnick. Rangnick is no longer the Head of Global Soccer within the Red Bull group. Oliver Mintzlaff has been promoted and has taken Rangnick’s job. The German coach will no longer oversee the development of all Red Bull-owned clubs. This move marks the most clear signal that next season Rangnick will be the new coach of AC Milan.
