Report: German star waits for AC Milan

Schalke 04 midfielder has refused all offers and keeps waiting for AC Milan. Signing one of the most promising players in Europe on a free transfer would be a master hit by Mirabelli.

A few weeks ago German wonderkid Max Meyer confirmed he is leave Schalke 04 this summer. The talented 22 year old refused to renew his expiring contract with the German club and can join a new team on a free transfer now.

Meyer is a top target of AC Milan with sports director Massimiliano Mirabelli personally scouting him on several occasions in Bundesliga. Transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla reports today that Max Meyer has his heart set on a move to the San Siro.

The 22 year old has already refused a proposal from Hoffenheim and according to Sportitalia he is eagerly waiting for the Rossoneri. First AC Milan need to resolve the situation with UEFA before presenting their offer to Meyer.

Despite his young age Max Meyer has played nearly 200 games with Schalke 04 scoring 20 goals along the way. He is considered as one of the most creative midfield prospects in the world. He enjoyed a Andrea Pirlo-esque progression under coach Domenico Tedesco and is more than ready for a big leap forward. Meyer’s signing would definitively be a boost for AC Milan’s often tired midfield.
