Ricketts family confirm interest in buying AC Milan
In recent days we had reported that American businessman Thomas Ricketts was considering buying AC Milan club from Yonghong Li. The owner of Chicago Cub, together with his family, are apparently in advanced negotiations and a deal is close to being complete.
The Ricketts Family confirmed everything through an email for Andrea Montanari:
“The Ricketts Family (not just Tom) are interested in buying a majority stakehold of AC Milan. The entire family are involved similar to their ownership with the Chicago Cubs. The Ricketts family won a championship with the Cubs thanks to constant investments as the same approach would also be taken with AC Milan“.
“The Ricketts Family (not just Tom) are interested in acquiring a controlling stakeholder in AC Milan . While Tom is the point person, the entire family and the family’s financial resources are involved in this matter, just like their ownership of Chicago Cubs.
