Atalanta star offers himself to Milan

Atalanta left-back Robin Gosens has offered himself to AC Milan. The 24-year-old defender is available at a very affordable price.

MILAN TRANSFER NEWS – Only a few days remain until the first team gathering under new coach Marco Giampaolo but so far AC Milan have been a bit slow in their transfer business. The left-back position is one of the many that will suffer a total overhaul this summer.

AC Milan currently have three left-backs in the squad: Ricardo Rodriguez, Diego Laxalt and Ivan Strinic. With Theo Hernandez on the way it’s very likely that all the three above mentioned players leave.

That would force AC Milan to return on the market and sign a new left-back. However, the opportunity has presented itself. MilanNews.it reports that Atalanta full-back, Robin Gosens, wants to join AC Milan.

Yesterday morning Gosens’ agent phoned the Rossoneri technical director Paolo Maldini offering the services of the 24-year-old. At the moment Milan have not opened talks because the club must first sell some players in that position after signing Theo Hernandez.

Robin Gosens joined Atalanta in 2017 for nearly 1 million euros and is currently valued at 10 million. The German full-back played an important part in Atalanta’s historic Champions League qualification this season. He made 28 Serie A appearances, scoring 3 goals and providing 2 assists. Gosens’ contract with Atalanta expires next summer so he’s available for a very affordable fee.
