Sassuolo lower asking price for AC Milan target

AC Milan are very interested in Sassuolo right winger Domenico Berardi who could be available on an affordable fee.

Domenico Berardi is having another fantastic season with Sassuolo. The Italian right winger has been devastating for the Neroverdi scoring 12 goals and assisting 14 in 26 appearances so far. Fantastic performances that have attracted the attention of AC Milan and other important European clubs.

Signing a new right winger is expected to be a priority for the Rossoneri this summer. Alexis Saelemaekers, Junior Messias and Samuel Castillejo have given very little contribution for Milan in the Scudetto fight this season totaling a disappointing seven goals across all competitions. In Italy, there is not another player performing on Berardi’s level.

The Rossoneri are well aware of his qualities because they have been following him since last season. In addition, Stefano Pioli is a big admirer of Domenico Berardi. The Italian coach is pushing to have him under his orders for next season and Sassuolo are open to let their captain leave this summer.

Journalist Nicolo Schira reports that Sassuolo are asking a transfer fee of €30 million for Berardi, 10 million less that what they demanded last summer. A fee within the reach of the Rossoneri’s budget with Elliott expected to hand Maldini a figure of 100 million to improve the squad.

AC Milan are not the only club keeping tabs on Domenico Berardi. According to Schira, Napoli are another club interested in his services while Leicester City and Arsenal have sent scouts in the recent weeks.
