Bologna vs AC Milan, probable lineups

AC Milan make their Serie A debut tomorrow against Bologna away from San Siro. Pioli will rely on some fresh faces from the start.

Serie A finally kicks off this week. However, AC Milan will be making their official debut on Monday evening. For their first match of the season the Rossoneri will face Bologna at 20:45 CET at the Renato Dall’Ara Stadium. Stefano Pioli’s squad needs to start the season on the right foot after a lot of money spent on the transfer market.

Many players have joined the club this summer and some of them will be making their first minute debut in Bologna vs Milan. However, there will be no new faces in defence. Stefano Pioli has only one doubt regarding the right side of the back four with captain Davide Calabria in advantage over Pierre Kalulu. Thiaw, Tomori and Theo Hernandez will complete the department.

Tijjani Reijnders has caught the attention during pre-season with some impressive performances in the playmaker role. The Dutch midfielder will be playing alongside Ruben Loftus-Cheek. The former Chelsea will be the owner of the box-to-box position with Rade Krunic set to play in front of the defence.

This season the 4-3-3 will be the base formation to give more freedom of movement to two powerful wingers like Leao and Chukwueze. However, Chukwueze will have to wait for his chance in the second half because it will be Christian Pulisic to play from the start on the right wing. The American and Rafael Leao will be in support of Olivier Giroud.

BOLOGNA Probable XI (4-2-3-1): Skorupski, Lykogiannis, Lucumi, Beukema, Posch, Dominguez, Moro, Aebischer, Ferguson, Orsolini, Zirkzee.

AC MILAN Probable XI (4-3-3): Maignan, Calabria, Thiaw, Tomori, Theo Hernandez, Loftus-Cheek, Krunic, Reijnders, Pulisic, Giroud, Rafa Leao.
