Six AC Milan players risk suspension

Six AC Milan players risk suspension for reaching the yellow cards limit. The Rossoneri need to be very carefully with Genoa.

AC Milan returned to the winning ways after the disappointing draw with Sampdoria. Goals from Ante Rebic and Franck Kessie in the first half and Rafael Leao in the last minutes of the match were enough to secure a convincing 3-1 win against Parma.

A very important victory the keeps the Rossoneri in second place in Serie A standings. AC Milan hold a short distance with Juventus, Atalanta and Napoli but the win against Parma wasn’t without a cost.

Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic was sent off in the 60th minute. Referee Fabio Maresca showed him the red card after Ibra reportedly said to him to “Go home“. AC Milan will appeal the decision but in the meantime six other AC Milan players risk suspension if they get another yellow card.

Samu Castillejo, Diogo Dalot, Ante Rebic and Alexis Saelemaekers were already at risks of suspension while Theo Hernandez and Hakan Calhanoglu are the new entries on the list. Both players received yellow cards in the last match against Parma. The French left-back is in fact the player to have received most yellow cards this season with 9 so far.

On Sunday the Rossoneri will host Genoa at the San Siro. The Rossoneri’s rivals for a place in the top four face each-other in the same weekend. Napoli will try to stop Inter while Atalanta will host Juventus in Bergamo.
