SM: AC Milan new signing could leave in January

The January mercato is approaching and AC Milan new signing, Fode Ballo Toure, could leave the club after just six months.

According to reports from SportMediaset journalist Claudio Raimondi, Stefano Pioli is set to to renew his deal with AC Milan. The Rossoneri coach will extend his contract until 2024 and will earn 3 million euros per season, plus add-ons. The agreement is set to be completed within few weeks.

Besides coach Stefano Pioli, Claudio Raimondi gives an important update on AC Milan new signing Fode Ballo Toure. The 24-year-old left back could leave in January and make some experience elsewhere.

Fode Ballo-Toure, which Milan bought from Monaco last summer for 5 million euros, is struggling a lot at the start of this season and for this reason he could leave on loan in January. Obviously, if the Senegalese defender leaves AC Milan will be forced to sign a new left-back to serve as the back-up of Theo Hernandez.

The former Monaco player has made 9 appearances so far but in most cases the result has been underwhelming. The derby against Inter, where Ballo-Toure caused a penalty that was latter saved by Ciprian Tatarusanu, was the last in a string of missteps.

Raimondi ends his report with updates on Romain Faivre. “Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara have resumed talks with Romain Faivre. The Brest attacking midfielder was one step away from joining Milan last summer. If Castillejo were to be sold during the winter mercato, the Faivre deal could be closed in January for around €10 million plus bonuses.”
