Sven Botman says yes to AC Milan

AC Milan are working to sign Sven Botman from Lille with the player having given the green light to a move to the Rossoneri.

AC Milan have prioritized the purchase of Sven Botman in January. Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara have identified the Lille defender as the perfect player to replace Simon Kjaer and form a rock solid partnership with Fikayo Tomori.

AC Milan opened contacts with Botman’s agent Francesco Miniero of Muy Manero agency immediately after the diagnosis of Kjaer’s injury confirmed that the Denmark captain would stay out for a very long time.

Sven Botman said yes as soon as he was informed of the possibility of join AC Milan reports The 21-year-old knows that at Lille he has already achieved the maximum. Last season he played a key role in Lille’s stunning Ligue 1 win and also this summer in their Super Cup triumph.

Botman has been followed and is again followed by many Italian clubs (Atalanta made a really high offer that was rejected in the summer) and European ones. For this reason Milan are trying to find an understanding on the formula to propose Lille. The French value their star defender at 30 million euros.

AC Milan and Lille have a great relationship as evidenced by the recent player transfers and Elliott’s interests. AC Milan would like to make a deal in Tomori-style. The Rossoneri would prefer to pay a small part of the transfer fee immediately and the rest at the end of the season. Talks between the parties continue with the player having previously reject a very rich contract from Newcastle in order to join his former teammate Mike Maignan.
