After Theo, AC Milan want new full-back from Real Madrid

After Theo Hernandez, AC Milan are looking to sign a new full-back from Real Madrid reports Fichajes.net.

In the past two seasons AC Milan have always done business with Real Madrid. First it was Theo Hernandez to join in 2019 for 20 million euros while Brahim Diaz arrived one year later on loan. Theo has had a sensational impact for the Rossoneri in the last two years. The contribution of Diaz has been also quite pleasing with 6 goals and 3 assists so far.

After Theo, the Rossoneri are looking again at Real Madrid for a new full-back. Fichajes.net reports that AC Milan are very interested in Alvaro Odriozola. The Spanish defender looks set to leave Los Blancos this summer and the Rossoneri are trying to profit.

The 25-year-old right back hasn’t had an exciting season so far. He has made only 13 appearances across all competitions for a total of 756 minutes played. Daniel Carvajal is the absolute starter in that position according to coach Zinedine Zidane and there is not room for Odriozola.

AC Milan consider Odriozola the perfect replacement for Diogo Dalot who is set to return at Manchester United at the end of the season. The Rossoneri want to spend for a player that will not be Calabria’s back-up but rather someone who can jeopardize his status as the regular starter on the right.

After spending €30 million euros to buy Alvaro Odriozola from Real Sociedad in 2018, Real Madrid have placed a €15 million price tag for the Spanish defender. Besides AC Milan, Lyon and Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton are keeping tabs on his situation. Paolo Maldini seems convinced that Alvaro could be Hernandez 2.0.
