Pioli tries two different formations for Torino vs Milan

Coach Stefano Pioli has tried two different formations for Torino vs Milan. One with Brahim Diaz and the other with Rafael Leao.

The splendid victory against Juventus is now behind us and AC Milan must be focused only on the upcoming against Torino. Torino vs Milan is one of the most important encounters of Serie A week 36 to be played tomorrow, at 20:45 CET.

For the Rossoneri it is of fundamental importance to win. Another victory would allow AC Milan to secure Champions League qualification in the next match against Cagliari. Torino, on the other hand, are trying to avoid relegation and will do everything to win even an point.

In today’s press conference, coach Stefano Pioli confirmed the absence of Zlatan Ibrahimovic who suffered a knee injury against Juventus. For this reason Pioli has tried two different formations in the last training session.

The first formation is practically the same with the one that beat Juventus last Sunday. Obviously without Ibrahimovic and Saelemaekers (who will miss the Torino match due to suspension). In their place were used Ante Rebic and Samuel Castillejo. Brahim Diaz played near the striker with Hakan Calhanoglu wide on the left.

In the other formation, however, there was Rafael Leao to play for the main eleven. The Portuguese talent was tried on the left wing with Hakan Calhanoglu in the center and Brahim Diaz out. The Italian coach seems oriented more towards the first option.
