AC Milan make official bid for midfielder

AC Milan are interested in signing 21-year-old Raphael Onyedika. The Midtjylland midfielder could be the one to replace Kessie.

We have entered in the last two weeks of the summer transfer window. AC Milan have already improve the squad available to Stefano Pioli without selling any important players. However, the Rossoneri still need to do some business in defence and midfield before the mercato is over.

After losing out on Renato Sanches and Carney Chukwuemeka, AC Milan have turned their attention to Raphael Onyedika. The 21-year-old central midfielder of Midtjylland is the favorite name to succeed Franck Kessie at San Siro according to MilanNews.it.

AC Milan have made an official offer of €5 million for Onyedika reports MilanNews. However, Midtjylland have rejected the Rossoneri’s opening bid. The Danish club is asking a figure of at least €8 million in order to part ways with Raphael Onyedika. Personal terms with the player not a problem.

Having spent the majority of their transfer budget on Charles De Ketelaere, Paolo Maldini has very limited funds available for the signing of the new midfielder and centre back. Onyedika is considered the ideal profile with the best quality-price ratio.

Nevertheless, Onyedika is not the only transfer target on AC Milan’s notebook. Other names are Albert Lokonga, Sander Berge and Adrien Tameze. Hellas Verona’s Tameze is the only one who plays in Serie A but his club demands a higher transfer fee.
