AC Milan to close signing of “next Kante”

AC Milan are about to close the signing of Nancy starlet Warren Bondo, considered to be the “next Kante” in France.

AC Milan have completed six signings so far but the Rossoneri still have a lot of work on the market in order to complete the squad. Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara are moving not only for the present but also for the future. Warren Bondo is a name that fills both requirements.

A suggestion of head scout Geoffrey Moncada, AC Milan are greatly impressed by Warren Bondo. The 17-year-old midfielder made his breakthrough last season recording 14 appearances with Ligue 2 side Nancy and finding the back of the net on one occasion. He considered to be the “next N’Golo Kante” in France.

AC Milan have agreed personal terms with Bondo for a three-year contract (17-year-old players can’t sign longer contracts) with a renewal option for two more years. The midfielder has rejected offers from Paris Saint-Germain and Inter in order to join the Rossoneri.

AC Milan are currently negotiating with Nancy regarding the transfer fee. The French club is asking €1.5 million plus add-ons while the Rossoneri have offered €1.2 million. An agreement is just a matter of time because Bondo becomes a free agent in one year so Nancy are forced to sell him this summer.

For Bondo, Madini are planning a similar path with Pierre Kalulu. The France U-18 midfielder will initially join the Rossoneri Primavera squad but will eventually be given a taste of first team football. With the arrival of Bondo, the number of French players at Milan will increase to six.
