Chelsea defender offered to AC Milan

AC Milan have added Chelsea centre back Antonio Rudiger to their list of targets for the defence. The German is available on loan.

AC Milan are in a hurry and must close the signing of a new defender as soon as possible. The last match against Bodo Glimt once again proved the urgent need for a top level centre back able to rotate with Kjaer and Romagnoli.

Nevertheless, the fans should not expect a new signing quickly. The management is considering a number of names with top target Nikola Milenkovic unlikely to arrive. Fiorentina have resisted so far and will not sell their prized gem unless an offer of 40 million euros is presented.

Other targets are Kristoffer Ajer, Matija Nastasic and Wesley Fofana. Now, the name of Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger has emerged as a possible option.

The 27-year-old Germany international has lost his starting spot under Lampard since the arrival of Thiago Silva at Stamford Bridge. He wants to leave in order to play more and, according to TuttoMercatoWeb (via MilanNews.it), Rudiger has been offered to AC Milan on loan.

Chelsea are willing to let the former Roma defender return in Serie A and the player has an affordable salary of 3 million euros per year. However, the problem is that Milan want to have an option to make the transfer permanent at around 25 million. Just like for Bakayoko, Chelsea value their player more than 35 million. At the moment, Nastasic remains the most likely defender for join the Rossoneri.
